When Åsa and Stefan Ström took over Ormanäsgården in 2016, it was the start of a ten-year love story between the couple and the farm. With a clear vision and a big heart, they have transformed the place into a vibrant destination where animal welfare and local craftsmanship are at the center.

A farm shop filled with local treasures

A visit to Ormanäsgården is not complete without a stop in their charming farm shop. Here you will be greeted by the scent of wood and country life, and the shelves are filled with carefully selected items in an inspiring environment.

The shop is a tribute to the local, where the farm’s own silky soft lamb skins and high-quality lamb meat coexist with unique, hand-picked craftsmanship. The pantry shelves and refrigerators are regularly filled with flavors from the region. Here you will find, among other things, locally sourced honey, KRAV-labeled beef from the neighboring farm and refreshing ice cream from Bränneriet’s Farm – another beloved gem in MittSkåne. It is the perfect place to put together a local delicacy basket or find a unique gift.

The dream of a comfortable and rural home in Skåne

For those who want to stay longer and explore all corners of MittSkåne, Ormanäsgården offers unbeatable rural accommodation in Skåne. The farm has four newly built, modern houses with room for up to six guests per house.

The houses are designed for a simple and relaxing holiday life. There is a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of space for both communal cooking and preparing the day’s picnic basket. Two of the cottages are also extra comfortably equipped with both a dishwasher and a washing machine to make it easier during a longer stay.

After a day on the go, you can settle down on the cottage’s sofa in front of the TV, or enjoy the evening on the furnished terrace. Each house has its own barbecue on the terrace, perfect for warm summer evenings with a view of the open fields and Ringsjön.

Rolling holidays with lake views all year round

If you prefer to travel with your mobile home, Ormanäsgården offers a very popular and easily accessible parking space for up to ten campers. The practical gravelled area is open all year round and has a fantastic location with a view of the water.

There is a shared, modern service station on the site with access to WC, fresh water and emptying of both latrines and grey water. Facilities that are exclusively available to overnight guests to ensure a calm and fresh environment.

A short walk from the parking space leads down to the lake, and four-legged family members are of course just as welcome on the trip. To the left of the lambing paddock there is an opening in the greenery where you can go all the way down to the water’s edge to enjoy the silence or take a refreshing dip.

The bottom is shallow and rocky, so pack your swimming shoes in your bag! The parking space costs 200 SEK/night (with the option of electricity for 50 SEK/night) and you can easily find it via the Ställplatser app or park4night.

A perfect base for cycling adventures

Thanks to the farm’s location in Ormanäs, you are very close to Höör’s services, train station and cozy cafes, while staying in the middle of peace. This makes the farm an ideal starting point for excursions.

You don’t even need to pack your own equipment to go out into nature. At the farm, guests can rent both mountain bikes and trekking bikes for day trips. From here, you can easily pedal out onto MittSkåne’s winding forest roads, cycle around the lake or take to nearby nature reserves and attractions.
