MittSkåne is perfect for a beer-tasting cycling trip. Here you’ll find no fewer than four breweries and one distillery.

Start by downloading an app called GPX viewer. Then follow our tips on which cycle routes to download as GPX files. That way you’ll have the route with you on your phone the whole way.

Day 1 – First stop in Flyinge

Our suggestion is to bring your bike on the train to Lund and from there connect to the Lomma–Kristianstad cycle route. The route runs from Lomma via southern Lund out toward the cosy little village of Dalby and on to Flyinge, where you can make your first beer stop at Pax Brewery. They brew craft beer and cider and have a pub with a full licence. Expect great pub vibes.

Award-winning Scanian vodka and gin

You’ll cycle past the small village of Örtofta, and then it’s just right to stop and fill up with good food at the farm shop Bränneriets gård. They serve fantastic lunch and fika made from their own homegrown vegetables and other local products.

Happily full, you can pedal on with ease to Ellinge slott. Here you can join a guided tour of their distillery, where premium Scanian vodka and gin are produced, made with organic ingredients—drinks that have received over 200 international awards. Purity Distillery is a family business with a passion for quality, sustainability, and unforgettable flavours. You need to book your tour with them, so make sure to do it before you set off.

Next: Remmarlöv

You’re probably feeling tired after all that food and drink, so park both yourself and your bike at Hotel Stensson in Eslöv. A historic hotel in a modern setting, with luxurious and wonderfully comfortable beds. In the evening, put on something nice, enjoy a lovely dinner at Gertruds Kök & Bar, and then zip out by bike to Remmarlöv gårdsbryggeri. They offer brewery tours with beer tastings and run a summer pub with samples, tasting boards, tasty snacks, and a relaxed, friendly vibe.

Day 2 – A dip in Lake Ringsjön

The next day, you cycle toward Lake Ringsjön. The route passes Björk’s fish shop and smokehouse, where you can enjoy a delicious fish lunch and also take a dip. If you cycle a bit further, you’ll end up at Sjöholmen’s bathing area. There are benches, a barbecue spot, and toilets here if you’d like to stop for fika.

Spa in Höör

The cycle route goes via Stehag and Ormanäs all the way into Höör. Here we recommend a good night’s sleep at the historic Höörs Gästgiwaregård. Enjoy great food and drink, super-comfy beds, and a lovely spa. Another overnight option in Höör is Stiftsgården Åkersberga. They also have a fantastic spa with tranquil interior design, spa rituals, and an outdoor pool.

Whether you stay in Höör or not, you switch cycle route here and instead follow Båstad–Ystad down toward Sätofta. And if you’d rather stay closer to nature and Lake Ringsjön and enjoy fishing, swimming, and lake views, follow that route from Höör toward Hörby and check in at Jägersbo Camping.

The next day, you head for Fulltofta. There are two breweries here! At Fulltofta Gård & Bryggeri 1766, handcrafted drinks and music are served in a beautiful cultural setting. You’ll find the brewery next to the church in Fulltofta. Then head to Fulltofta Gårdsbryggeri , located right by Lake Ringsjön— a brewery built by a few enthusiasts driven by passion and the desire to make great beer in many exciting styles. You can swim at Fulltofta bathing area right next to Fulltofta Gårdsbryggeri. And you can eat truly delicious fish at Adolfssons Fisk.

If you want to stay the night, you can check in at Ringsjöstrands camping. Camp, stay in a cabin, or at their hotel. Take the opportunity to book a relaxing massage at Wellnesspunkten and loosen up stiff cycling muscles.

Finish in luxury

From Fulltofta, you can then continue down toward Osbyholm. There you switch to Lilla Ringsjöleden and follow it toward Rolsberga. Along the way, you’ll cycle past Elisefarm. And if you’re not quite ready to head home yet, stay the night there. Here you can play golf, enjoy the spa, and sleep in truly luxurious beds. Their buffet and wine list are second to none.

From Elisefarm, you cycle toward Rolsberga. There you switch routes again to the Four Castles cycle route. The road eventually takes you back to Flyinge. Maybe you stop again at Pax Brygghus and try a different beer? A perfect finish before you cycle on back toward Lund for your journey home.
