Genuine Scanian countryside

In Hörby, you get to experience the Scanian countryside for real. Here you’ll find strikingly beautiful forest and nature at the Fulltofta recreational area. And if you head east, you’ll experience the Scanian fields and wide open landscapes. To the northeast, the forests of the Linderödsåsen ridge frame Hörby municipality.

Breweries

Everywhere, there’s something to discover—and the best way to get around is probably by bike, so you don’t miss anything. To the west you have Lake Ringsjön. Here you’ll find no fewer than two breweries to explore: Fulltofta Gårdsbryggeri and Fulltofta Gård & Bryggeri 1766. Both offer pub nights and tastings.

Stay with an extra touch

If you’d like to stay with a view over Lake Ringsjön, you can check in at Ringsjöstrand. They offer both hotel rooms and camping.

Planning a meeting, a party, or going all-in with a wedding? Then we can recommend the beautiful Fulltofta Castle. A Scanian castle with Mediterranean inspiration. The Fulltofta banqueting hall is around 230 sqm with a 5-metre ceiling height, and the entire upper floor is a magnificent roof terrace in Italian granite, set in a beautiful lilac park.

In addition to paintball, there’s archery, lasso, air-rifle shooting, axe throwing, horseshoe throwing, sack races, and much more.

Sights

Interested in culture? Then you should visit St. Magnhild’s Spring. It is located by the road toward Hästäng. There is a memorial stone there. The legend of Saint Magnhild is connected to Fulltofta. She was a devout woman who cared for the poor and the sick. In 1215 she was murdered by her daughter-in-law. When her funeral procession rested for a while, a spring burst forth at the spot. She was later canonised by Archbishop Andreas Sunesen. Magnhild became the object of great veneration, and large crowds made pilgrimages to her grave by the church. In 1383, her remains were therefore transferred to Lund Cathedral.

Curious about the history of radio? Then you should visit Hörby Radio Association’s museum. A fascinating guided tour through radio’s unique history. You can also head to Östra Sallerup.
The Rectory Park, including Karl XI’s stones, is located here and was created based on the ideas of the priest Jöns Henriksson during the Swedish–Danish wars. The site is one of the few preserved 17th-century parks in Europe. It is shaped according to the Renaissance ideal of style and classified by the Swedish National Heritage Board. Fulltofta Church is another fascinating historical sight. It was built in the Middle Ages and features, among other things, a sandstone baptismal font.
