Just a short drive along the northern side of Ringsjön we find the next oasis in Höör municipality. Västernäs Handelsträdgård is a well-known stop for garden lovers where thousands of beautiful seasonal flowers are grown every year. But during the summer months an extra great treasure hides behind the greenhouses.

From mid-June to mid-July (approximately) they open up their fantastic strawberry fields for self-picking. The unique thing about Västernäs is that the strawberry cultivation is done completely without chemical spraying. By instead following the laws of biology, they create healthy plants, large, tasty berries and a cultivation completely free from foreign substances. 3. Bränneriets Gård (Eslöv) – Absolutely world-class artisanal ice cream

We roll further south through the rolling landscape of central Skåne, cross the municipal border to Eslöv and head towards the cozy village of Östra Strö and Bränneriet Gård. Although the shelves are filled with fantastic local produce, there is a very special attraction that attracts visitors from far abroad: their home-made ice cream.

This is artisanal ice cream at its finest. Made on the farm, the ice cream is full of natural flavors, with that perfect, creamy texture you’re always looking for but rarely find. We end our route in Hörby municipality at Äspinge Kött, just a short and smooth drive east. This is the final destination where you open the cooler in the trunk and stock up for tonight’s dinner. Äspinge Kött is a unique gem because the farm specializes in high-quality horse meat.
