Gunnarps brickworks was once an important workplace for people in the area around Höör.
Gunnarps brickworks started on a small scale in the late 1800s. With the arrival of the railway, the works enjoyed its heyday. In the early 1900s it was Tjörnarp’s largest company and employed around 35–40 people. Some years, more than 2 million bricks were produced. After a fire in 1958 the works was shut down. The kiln remained, however, and was used for a time as a hen house and potato cellar. Today the brickworks is simply a place to visit. Information signs are available for those who want to learn more about the site. Photo from Frosta Härads Hembygdsförening
