Sure, it’s great to have a few days off at Christmas. But it can also be boring to just sit at home. Here are some Christmas vacation tips. All budget-friendly!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n

We have collected some Christmas holiday tips to do during the Christmas holidays. All tips are kind to both the children, the environment and the wallet.<\/p>\n

1. Borrow books from the library<\/h4>\n

Reading is like traveling. And visiting a library can also be an experience. Why not try a library outside your own city? Take the train to H\u00f6\u00f6r, Esl\u00f6v or H\u00f6rby. Discover their library and finish by enjoying a coffee at the local caf\u00e9. Guaranteed to be cozy for the whole family. 2. Discover the forest<\/h4>\n

Packing your backpack with a thermos and some sandwiches is an adventure in itself. Take the train to one of our beautiful nature reserves, go for a walk, play hide and seek, climb all the rocks, see who can see the biggest tree, look for colors or just discover what the forest is like in winter.<\/p>\n

3. Visit a new place with your dog<\/h4>\n

4. Be an explorer for a day<\/h4>\n

A whole day without any must-do’s is a day for adventure. Pretend you’re an explorer, bring a pad and a pen and take a train or bus to a place you’ve never been before. Investigate, look with a magnifying glass and find out the history behind the place. We give tips on fun and exciting attractions here >><\/a><\/p>\n

5. Fix a bird helper<\/h4>\n

It can be difficult for birds to find food in the winter. You can help them. Best of all, you can use string and cardboard boxes left over from Christmas presents. This is what you need:<\/p>\n

A piece of cardboard or an empty toilet roll<\/p>\n

Twine<\/p>\n

Peanut butter<\/p>\n

Bird seed<\/p>\n

Take a piece of cardboard left over from one of the Christmas presents. Cut out a shape that you want. Maybe a circle or a heart. You can use a gingerbread man mold as a template. You can also use an empty toilet roll. Make a hole at the top of the cardboard. Attach a string there. Then spread peanut butter all over the cardboard and then dip it in bird seed so that the entire cardboard is covered.
