Beer tasting on a bike is this summer’s hottest tip for a wonderful weekend trip! Here you combine cycling through a wonderful landscape, lovely lakeside swimming, good food and comfortable beds with discovering the beer breweries in Sk\u00e5ne. We recommend a good route with beer stops, restaurants and accommodation for three to four nights.<\/p>\n

\"\"MittSk\u00e5ne is perfect for a beer-tasting cycling trip. Here you\u2019ll find no fewer than four breweries and one distillery. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Start by downloading an app called GPX viewer.<\/a> Then follow our tips on which cycle routes to download as GPX files. That way you\u2019ll have the route with you on your phone the whole way. <\/span><\/p>\n

Day 1 \u2013 First stop in Flyinge<\/h4>\n

Our suggestion is to bring your bike on the train to Lund and from there connect to the Lomma\u2013Kristianstad cycle route<\/a>. The route runs from Lomma via southern Lund out toward the cosy little village of Dalby and on to Flyinge, where you can make your first beer stop at Pax Brewery<\/a>. They brew craft beer and cider and have a pub with a full licence. Expect great pub vibes. <\/span><\/p>\n

Award-winning Scanian vodka and gin<\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll cycle past the small village of \u00d6rtofta, and then it\u2019s just right to stop and fill up with good food at the farm shop Br\u00e4nneriets g\u00e5rd<\/a>. They serve fantastic lunch and fika made from their own homegrown vegetables and other local products. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Happily full, you can pedal on with ease to <\/span><\/span>Ellinge slott<\/a>. Here you can join a guided <\/span><\/span>tour of their distillery, where premium Scanian vodka and gin are produced, made with organic ingredients\u2014drinks that have received over 200 international <\/span><\/span>awards. Purity Distillery<\/a> is a family business with a passion for quality, sustainability, and unforgettable flavours. You need to book your tour with them, so make sure to do it before you set off. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Next: Remmarl\u00f6v<\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

You\u2019re probably feeling tired after all that food and drink, so park both yourself and your bike at<\/span> <\/span>Hotel Stensson<\/span><\/a> in Esl\u00f6v. A historic hotel in a modern setting, with luxurious and wonderfully comfortable beds. In the evening, put on something nice, enjoy a lovely dinner at Gertruds K\u00f6k & Bar<\/a>, and then zip out by bike to Remmarl\u00f6v g\u00e5rdsbryggeri<\/a>. They offer brewery tours with beer tastings and run a summer pub with samples, tasting boards, tasty snacks, and a relaxed, friendly vibe. <\/span><\/p>\n

Day 2 \u2013 A dip in Lake Ringsj\u00f6n<\/h4>\n

The next day, you cycle toward Lake Ringsj\u00f6n. The route passes Bj\u00f6rk’s fish shop and smokehouse<\/a>, where you can enjoy a delicious fish lunch and also take a dip. If you cycle a bit further, you\u2019ll end up at Sj\u00f6holmen\u2019s bathing area. There are benches, a barbecue spot, and toilets here if you\u2019d like to stop for fika.<\/p>\n

Spa in H\u00f6\u00f6r<\/h4>\n

The cycle route goes via Stehag and Orman\u00e4s all the way into H\u00f6\u00f6r. Here we recommend a good night\u2019s sleep at the historic H\u00f6\u00f6rs G\u00e4stgiwareg\u00e5rd<\/a>. Enjoy great food and drink, super-comfy beds, and a lovely spa. Another overnight option in H\u00f6\u00f6r is Stiftsg\u00e5rden \u00c5kersberga<\/a>. They also have a fantastic spa with tranquil interior design, spa rituals, and an outdoor pool.<\/p>\n

Whether you stay in H\u00f6\u00f6r or not, you switch cycle route here and instead follow B\u00e5stad\u2013Ystad<\/a> down toward S\u00e4tofta. And if you\u2019d rather stay closer to nature and Lake Ringsj\u00f6n and enjoy fishing, swimming, and lake views, follow that route from H\u00f6\u00f6r toward H\u00f6rby and check in at J\u00e4gersbo Camping<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Day 3 \u2013 Beer, a music night, and a massage<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n

The next day, you head for Fulltofta. There are two breweries here! At Fulltofta G\u00e5rd & Bryggeri 1766<\/a>, handcrafted drinks and music are served in a beautiful cultural setting. You\u2019ll find the brewery next to the church in Fulltofta. Then head to Fulltofta G\u00e5rdsbryggeri <\/a>, located right by Lake Ringsj\u00f6n\u2014 a brewery built by a few enthusiasts driven by passion and the desire to make great beer in many exciting styles. You can swim at Fulltofta bathing area right next to Fulltofta G\u00e5rdsbryggeri. And you can eat truly delicious fish at Adolfssons Fisk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you want to stay the night, you can check in at Ringsj\u00f6strands camping<\/a>. Camp, stay in a cabin, or at their hotel. Take the opportunity to book a relaxing massage at Wellnesspunkten<\/a> and loosen up stiff cycling muscles.<\/p>\n

You can also stay in your own cabin at Sol\u00e5kra g\u00e5rd<\/a>. It\u2019s located just 100 metres from the cycle route. Book the cabin >><\/a><\/p>\n

Finish in luxury<\/h4>\n

From Fulltofta, you can then continue down toward Osbyholm. There you switch to Lilla Ringsj\u00f6leden<\/a> and follow it toward Rolsberga. Along the way, you\u2019ll cycle past Elisefarm<\/a>. And if you\u2019re not quite ready to head home yet, stay the night there. Here you can play golf, enjoy the spa, and sleep in truly luxurious beds. Their buffet and wine list are second to none.<\/p>\n

From Elisefarm, you cycle toward Rolsberga. There you switch routes again to the Four Castles cycle route<\/a>. The road eventually takes you back to Flyinge. Maybe you stop again at Pax Brygghus<\/a> and try a different beer? A perfect finish before you cycle on back toward Lund for your journey home.<\/p>\n
